Valley Vignette
This mural was designed to serve as a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of the Okanagan Valley. The artwork features a collection of iconic local fauna and flora, including a black bear, a mule deer, California quail, and the region's signature Arrowleaf Balsamroot flower. A loose, graphic, and bright illustration style was chosen to create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere, making the piece accessible and engaging for all ages. The goal is to create a joyful landmark that fosters a sense of local pride and brightens its community space.
Grounded
This mural design is an exercise in pure, whimsical joy. It features a simple pink teapot resting on a pair of sturdy green feet, poised for a potential adventure. The purpose of this piece is to inject a dose of the unexpected and delightful into a public space, transforming an ordinary wall into a source of surprise and smiles. It’s a celebration of the absurd, designed to spark imagination and serve as a playful, memorable landmark for the community.
Bird Bath
"Bird Bath" is a vibrant mural created in collaboration with SiccDoods for the Vernon Public Art Gallery's annual summer festival, Riot on the Roof. Designed around the 2025 theme "Neon Gardens," our interpretation merges the natural world with the playfully surreal. The piece features common city pigeons flocking around a classical figure reminiscent of a Roman statue, whose timeless stoicism is cheerfully subverted by a colourful propeller hat. Set against a swirling, energetic background, the mural is our bright and humorous take on what a garden can be—a place of unexpected life and colour.
